2022 Easter Message from the Chair

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3)

Dear staff, families, and Catholic community,

This time of year, we have much to be grateful for as we welcome new beginnings in the form of warmer weather and the renewal of Spring as we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Throughout the season of Lent, we have reflected on and given thanks for Christ’s sacrifice. Everything we do in Catholic Education is rooted in our belief in the glorious resurrection of Jesus and the profound hope this brings to our lives.

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is blessed by the caring and inspiring individuals who have dedicated their lives to nurturing Gospel values and Catholic teachings in our school communities. During and after this holy season, we seek Christ in our daily lives through our actions, words, thoughts, and prayers.

I am extremely thankful for the families in our district who support our Catholic schools. We see the light of Christ every day in the love of our families, in our relationships with our parish communities and through the passion of our BHNCDSB staff who inspire our students every day to lead lives of faith, hope and charity.

Please join me in reflecting on those who need our compassion at this time. Pray for peace and their safety and know that that God is close with a helping hand.

As you celebrate and give thanks during this blessed Easter season, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, I pray the hearts of you and your loved ones are filled with peace and joy.
